We are officially a breath before entering the heart of summer and some of the most anticipated events and festivals. But, before all that, there are some pretty exciting things going on this week, including the Royal Ascot that monopolises people’s interest not only for the races (and quirky hats!) but also the fine dining options! So, get a hold of a ticket and be there to watch the horse races taking place this Friday and Saturday, such as The Albany Stakes, The Commonwealth Cup, The King Edward VII Stakes, The Duke of Edinburgh Stakes and many more!

Other than the Royal Ascot, you could also:
1. Join the Summer Solstice Festival
An all-day terrace party awaits this Sunday 24th June at the idyllic Studio338. Starting at around 2:00 pm and ending way after sunset (about 10:00 pm), you have a great opportunity to enjoy yourself with a festival that involves lots of dancing to super-natural summer vibes, and, of course, cocktails, beers, and other drinks flowing in impressive abundance!
2. Head to London Bridge
Part of the London Festival of Architecture, the London Bridge Open Kitchen Festival is the annual event many Londoners (and not only) have been eagerly waiting for 12 long months. It is a free-entry event that will fill the area in front of the London Bridge Station will a plethora of delicious foods and drinks from local restaurants and bars, like Santo, Londrino, Tom Simmons, Hawksmoor, and Flour & Grape!
But, that’s not it. You will also get to treat your taste buds with incredible street food too, from virtuosos like Honest Burgers and NOB’s Lobster! It should be noted that the festival supports a local charity that is training individuals who have been or are homeless to gain qualifications and confidence by maintaining localSE1 green spaces. From Friday 29th, June to Saturday 30th, June.

3. Join the Radiate Windrush Festival
When the Windrush generation reached the British shores some 70 years ago, nobody could foresee that their arrival would become a glorious celebration for the black communities in London over the years. Take in the sights, sounds, and Caribbean grub at the Radiate Windrush Festival this Saturday 23th June and Sunday 24th June, from 12:00 until 21:00 and get ready to experience a truly unique event. As for those that donate with a fiver, they will see their name on the festival’s Donor’s Wall of Gratitude!
4. Look for your Next London School
Two top London colleges in London, King’s College and St. George’s University hosts an undergraduate open day this Saturday, June 23rd, where those interested in attending either one of the schools have the chance to find out more about studying at their favourite college or uni, explore various subject areas, meet staff members and students, take tours of the campus buildings, and more. There will be both morning and afternoon subject talks to help get the basics. Even if you are not yet sure that you want to study at one of the institutions, the tour to campus is certainly worth taking as part of your London sightseeing journey!
