Play Polo in Hurlingham Park

Polo in the Park, one of London’s best summer outdoor events, celebrates its 10thanniversary and brings a very social (more accessible) version of polo to the people, from June 8 until June 10. You will have the chance to see teams of three taking part from the corners of the Earth, with the highlight of this 3-day World Series event being the international match on Friday night. Plus, enjoy Clip’n’Climb, Eddie Catz, and Sharky and George, spreading smiles to kids and grown-ups alike on Sunday. Prepare to rub shoulders with celebs and even royals while you savour your cocktail at Polo Bars or treat your palate with food delicacies from food stalls set up for your eyes only.

Join in Every Foodie’s TOP Celebration

Mark these dates on your calendar: June 8th, 9th, and 10th. KERB presents the most delicious social gathering in town that brings together a plethora of Deep South menus for Noshville. During this 3-day festival, you will et be able to please your taste buds with the likes of Prairie Fire Dog, Da Ja Chicken, Oh My Dog, and Taco Dave serving appetising creations (at Granary Square). Besides lots of food (from burgers and spicy meat nuggets to fried chicken and pork with traditional sausage), there will also be loads of booze (try a melon margarita or a mint julip), great live music (see the Maverick Travelling Medicine Show), and even goodies for those with a sweet tooth!

See Katy Perry at O2 Arena!

The American pop idol will get you dancing to the rhythm of her beats the coming Thursday 14th and Friday 15th June. The popular pop singer has seen her career skyrocket since “I kissed a girl” became a much-discussed hit in 2008. Her second studio album earned her two Granny Award nominations and took its place in the pantheon of albums that have spawned 5 #1 singles (comes second after M. Jackson’s Bad). This tour, though, will surprise you with a mix of some old favourites, new singles (i.e. “Swish Swish” ft. Nicki Minaj), and perhaps the most electronic album Katy has given us!

Go for a Picnic at a Garden Terrace

From June 9, Boisdale of Canary Wharf is running a Bottomless Picnic at their beautiful garden terrace that will last until the end of summer. Apart from a quintessentially British picnic with a superb selection of sandwiches made especially for that day (i.e. Aberdeenshire beef and Dunkeld oak smoked salmon), you will also be offered unlimited Prosecco for almost two hours after your booking, always accompanied by live music. And, if your larynx can appreciate some shots of good alcohol, the world’s greatest Whisky Bar awaits just around the corner!

Bike in the buff!

The World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) is definitely not for the faint-hearted! On June 9, 2018, the streets of London will fill with hundreds of folks taking part in this ballsy event. Some will do it to protest against oil dependency. Others just for the fun of it. Whatever the reason, it is a lot of fun for sure. It should be noted that you don’t need to be fully naked to participate. In fact, there is a distinct carnival vibe to the event, so organisers encourage adorning yourself with slogans, body painting work, and colourful patterns. The route for this year’s WNBR? Starts from Tower Hill and ends in Kew Bridge (goes through Regents Park, West Norwood, Hyde Park, and Clapham Junction).
